AIRCRAFT DESIGN CATIA TUTORIAL (LEAR 23)
The objective of this project was to create a start-to-finish video tutorial for creating in aircraft in CATIA V5 to assist in Aerospace Engineering senior design classes by modeling a Lear 23. The tutorial consists of 41 narrated videos demonstrating everything from importing airfoil coordinates from excel, reverse engineering a model from 3-view drawings, creating complex surfaces using GSD, and generating renderings in addition to recapping many fundamentals students may have learned in their previous introduction to CATIA class. Beyond simply creating the outer shell of the aircraft, the project even shows how to create the internal structure down to the individual parts including ribs, spars, longerons, frames, and floor beams. For a more detailed list of items covered in the tutorial see the YouTube playlist attached.
