AMERICA3 SAILING BOAT

The main goal of my project was to create a life-like replica of the 1992 America’s Cup winner yacht, the America3. I’ve always been fascinated by the world of sailing so this project is close to my heart. The boat is made up of more than 40 different components, the most difficult being the cockpit with its modern pedestal systems. I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting the shape of the waterline so that it has the trademark cigar-like look that made the America3 so memorable. I've used adaptive modeling, this way my model reacts accordingly if the size of one component changes. The project was made as a University project and was chosen the best amongst the works of my peers, because of its exhausitve construction and design.
