Design and Manufacturing of Hybrid Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

The basic objective of this project is to design and manufacture a hybrid Vertical Axis Wind Turbine using common materials and to manufacture this structure.A hybrid approach is used in this project as to increase the output of the turbine at high as well as low speed and also to increase the self-starting mechanism of the turbine, which can be a drawback in VAWTs. For this we have integrated Savonius and Giromill straight blade rotors in the integrated rotor and mounted upon the same shaft.
