GO-KART APSSDC (SWARNANDHRA COLLEGE OF ENGG AND TECH)

Go-kart is a self propelled vehicle which is used as one of the motor sport vehicle. This is four wheeled vehicle without any suspension and differential. This is designed in such a way to satisfy all the industrial standards. Mainly this go-kart is designed for racing under 600 cc engine category computations. The engine is placed at the rear side to provide more comfortable space to the driver and to achieve maximum efficiency for the engine. It is driven by chain drive to reduce the maximum losses. As go-karts are having less height and less wheel base it is not easy task to control the vehicle and powder with high power full engines usually powered by a four-stroke gasoline engine . To increase more control and down force this kart is provided with spoiler(wing) at the rear.  we made some changes to engine to increase the power output by pressurizing the fuel line by using a fuel pump, it increases the starting torque and reduces the fuel lag. we achieved the maximum speed 112 km/h by using TVS apache RTR 160 cc engine. We participated in 2 national go-kart events. One held in KARI MOTOR SPEEDWAY(FORMULA 3 AUTO RACING CIRCUIT) in Coimbatore held by Bharath Formula Karting. We stand top by this kart powered with 125 cc HONDA shine engine Second held in RAGHU ENGINEERING COLLEGE in vizag, organized by IMAGINE TO INNOVATE GROUPS. We stand 1st place by this kart powered with 160 cc  TVS apache RTR engine
