Main Landing Gear

This is a design based on existing designs and concepts of similar aircraft type landing gear systems. The system was developed to be as light, compact and maintenance friendly as possible while still handling all stresses caused by a hard landing of a 14000kg aircraft. The system was also developed with longevity in mind, ensuring a minimum life-time of any component being a minimum of 1000 cycles, while more critical components have a life-time estimate of 5000 cycles. The system also features several fail-safe design features, meaning if one part fails, there is something there to take it's load along with safety pin locations for maintenance purposes.
