SHELL ECO MARATHON 2014

Loo Fu Hong- some of the research project done for SAE UMP Chapter on the possibility of changing over to prototype segment from urban concept. Shell eco marathon is a global race series organised by Royal Dutch Shell every year to promote fuel saving and who can go the most distance in single liter of fuel. The importance of the research is to make the car as slippery as possible, by minimising drag as well as weight. my project is about minimising the drag of the car body so that it can puncture through the air as efficient as possible. some of the parts are developed to reduce the static pressure of the car, while some to retain some of the ergonomics factors (such as driver exit pod holder are also act as a air outlet).
