Organization Description
Electroimpact specializes in aircraft assembly automation. Our core businesses are Robotics, Automated Fiber Placement, Automated Riveting Machines and Wing Assembly Lines. Learn more about Electroimpact at: https://www.electroimpact.com/Company/About.aspx Electroimpact is seeking approximately 1 self-directed individual to join our team as a Computer Aided Design Librarian. As a CAD Librarian, you will be responsible for working closely with engineers to create 3D CAD component models, schematic symbols and to document metadata for electrical and pneumatic components needed for documentation on past, current and future projects. In addition to creating all component data, you will be responsible for ensuring this information is properly stored into our database and Product Data Management (PDM) system. When not adding new parts, the CAD Librarian will analyze/modify existing library parts for accuracy, consistency, improved readability of the schematic and improved manufacturability of the assembly. The CAD Librarian role has broad responsibilities that extend beyond any one discipline. * A typical 3D CAD responsibility is using SolidWorks or 3DExperience to create an accurate 3D model of a component from a 2D drawing or using existing 3D models and post processing these to our requirements. * A typical 2D CAD responsibility is the assigning of appropriate schematic symbols using SolidWorks Electrical from basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic component functions. This may be accomplished by referencing existing library component symbols or creating new symbols. In some cases, the creation of new symbols will involve a thorough review of project specific documentation to enable that the new component can be integrated effectively. * A typical PDM responsibility begins with the detailed review of a component datasheet and then the entering/updating of relevant data into the PDM system.
